Experience in handling Financial Lines claims. Experience handling Construction PI claims will be highly beneficial.
Key Responabilites;
Engagement with, and execution of, our claims handling strategy and philosophy.
Handling of claims across a varied Financial Lines portfolio of Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions and Management Liability claims, including both primary and excess layer notifications. This includes investigating and evaluating claims in accordance with our claims strategy and philosophy, reviewing policy coverage and liaising with the wider claims team and key stakeholders where necessary.
Taking referrals from delegated claims administrators.
Claims reporting to stakeholders and business working groups, with a particular focus on maintaining the integrity and adequacy of reserving.
Support and provide input to claims projects and strategic initiatives; and support and develop relationships with key business functions.
Skill and experience required;
Financial Lines claims handling experience, including experience handling Construction PI claims.
A commercial mindset with the ability to build great relationships with colleagues, key stakeholders and the market.
Excellent communication skills and a desire to build relationships within all levels of staff in the business to manage internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of London Market claims handling processes and procedures.
Understanding of London Market standards and principles.
Technical proficiency with good working knowledge of London Market systems.
Financial acumen, including monitoring of claims activity and financial trends.
Visibility in the claims community with solid industry contacts.
Strong organisational skills and ability to balance competing priorities.
Diligent with an eye-for-detail.
Ability to analyse and interpret wordings will be an asset.
