We are seeking a skilled Power BI Implementation Consultant to support a critical project within the Housing IT sector. This is a fully remote, contract position for an initial duration of 3 months, operating outside IR35, and offering a competitive daily rate of £450. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and delivering robust Power BI reporting solutions aligned to the strategic and operational needs of the housing organisation.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Power BI development and implementation, including data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and integration with various data sources. You will be expected to lead on requirements gathering, engage key stakeholders to understand business needs, and translate these into effective, insightful dashboards and reports. Demonstrable experience working within the Housing IT or Local Government sectors is highly desirable, particularly with knowledge of housing management systems and associated data frameworks.

You must possess strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and be confident in providing user training and documentation to ensure smooth adoption of the implemented solutions. The ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment will be critical to success in this role.

Additional requirements include proven experience delivering data visualisation solutions using Power BI in cloud-based environments, knowledge of SQL and ETL processes, and an understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices. Experience with Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, and service delivery frameworks such as Agile or PRINCE2 would be advantageous.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starting, results-driven professional with a passion for data insights and digital transformation within the public sector.
