The Opportunity
Are you a strategic data leader passionate about building the foundations of a truly data-driven enterprise? We are seeking a Head of Data Design & Governance to join a central Data & Analytics function during a period of significant transformation.
Reporting to the Director of Data & Analytics, you will take ownership of the organization’s data blueprint. Your mission is to move beyond fragmented information to create a "single version of the truth," ensuring that data is treated as a high-value asset capable of powering advanced automation, regulatory reporting, and executive decision-making.
Your Impact
As a senior leader, you will oversee the Data Design and Governance teams, setting the standards that ensure information is accurate, secure, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Mentor and scale high-performing teams across Data Design and Governance disciplines.

Framework Ownership: Design and embed an enterprise-wide data governance and quality framework that elevates the organization’s data maturity.

Data Architecture Oversight: Lead the development of conceptual, logical, and dimensional data models to support evolving business needs.

Master Data Excellence: Direct master and reference data management practices to eliminate silos and improve consistency.

Influence & Advocacy: Chair the Data Governance Forum and act as a senior ambassador, bridging the gap between technical teams and executive stakeholders.

Regulatory & Operational Integrity: Ensure data assets are robust enough to meet stringent regulatory returns and support operational performance.
What You Bring
We are looking for a collaborative influencer who thrives in complex, large-scale environments. You should have a proven track record of shifting data from a "technical requirement" to a "business enabler."
Essential Experience:

Senior Leadership: Significant experience leading multi-disciplinary data functions (Governance, Quality, and Design).

Technical Depth: Expert-level knowledge of ER modelling and industry-standard methodologies such as Kimball and Inmon.

Governance at Scale: A history of successfully embedding governance frameworks and MDM strategies within regulated or complex sectors.

Stakeholder Management: The ability to navigate board-level conversations and influence culture at the highest levels.

Delivery Excellence: Experience managing large-scale data migrations and integrations, ideally within Agile environments.
