Our client is a local authority committed to delivering innovative digital solutions and high-quality services to residents, businesses, and visitors. The organisation fosters a collaborative, forward-thinking culture focused on digital transformation and data-driven strategies. The role involves leading the organisation's digital, data, and technology functions to support both internal operations and external service provision, including initiatives such as connectivity enhancements and modern CCTV provision.

Role Overview:

This interim CIO position is a critical leadership role operating as the organisation's Chief Information Officer. It is designed to drive forward digital and data strategies, oversee transformation programmes, and ensure the delivery of high-quality digital services. The role plays a vital part in supporting the organisation's wider transformation agenda, with a focus on delivering impactful and effective digital solutions.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong technical and digital leadership expertise
• Proven experience delivering complex transformation programmes
• Ability to operate effectively in a politically aware environment
• Collaborative leadership style across stakeholders and disciplines
• Understanding of Cyber Security

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and shape the organisation’s digital, data, and technology strategies
• Drive delivery of transformation programmes aligned with strategic objectives
• Oversee the provision of digital services, including connectivity, public Wi-Fi, and CCTV
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery
• Operate effectively within a political environment and contribute to organisational change

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK
• Experience in digital, data, and technology leadership roles
• Knowledge of cyber security best practices
• Availability to start on or around 13/05/2026
• Enthusiasm for working in a hybrid working environment
