As a Business Intelligence Analyst, I develop high‑quality reporting, dashboards and data models that provide clear insight and support informed decision‑making across the organisation. I work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and deliver outputs that enhance operational performance, regulatory reporting and strategic planning.


Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insight

  • Conduct detailed data analysis using Power BI, T‑SQL and Excel.
  • Produce clear, actionable insights that support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Ensure analysis is accurate, timely and aligned with business priorities.

Power BI Dashboard & Report Development

  • Design, build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Develop robust DAX measures and optimise performance for large datasets.
  • Ensure all dashboards follow BI best practice, are intuitive and meet stakeholder requirements.

Data Modelling & Preparation

  • Develop and maintain high‑quality semantic data models to support curated, reliable reporting.
  • Support the creation of structured data layers and pipelines.
  • Contribute to improvements in data quality, governance and standardisation.

Stakeholder Engagement & Support

  • Partner with operational and leadership teams to gather and refine reporting requirements.
  • Translate business questions into clear technical specifications and solutions.
  • Deliver user training, guidance and documentation for dashboards and BI tools.
  • Present insights to technical and non‑technical audiences in a clear, accessible way.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to automate reports and streamline BI processes.
  • Support the modernisation of data architecture and BI tooling.
  • Contribute to BI documentation, standards and best practice.
  • Promote data literacy and confidence in performance metrics across the organisation.
