Business Development Manager

This role involves owning new business development for large industrial and commercial (I&C) customers, building relationships across sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, and utilities. The position supports strategic engagement at senior levels to promote sustainability and decarbonisation solutions, making it integral to the company's expansion plans.

Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager will drive new business initiatives in the I&C energy and sustainability space, focusing on opening large deals, developing a robust sales pipeline, and fostering strategic relationships. This role plays a key part in the company’s growth in the UK and Europe by shaping long-term partnerships and delivering green energy solutions.

Key Skills & Experience:
• Strong track record in new business development within energy, sustainability, PPAs, export, or related sectors
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, ideally at C-suite or director level
• Proven prospecting skills and ability to build relationships over long sales cycles
• Existing network or relationships that can be developed over 12–18 months
• Confidence operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

Key Responsibilities:
• Own the acquisition of new business for large I&C customers with portfolios from 10 GWh to 100+ GWh
• Build and convert a long-term sales pipeline across various high-energy sectors
• Engage with senior stakeholders on sustainability and decarbonisation strategies
• Collaborate closely with technical teams to develop flexible supply and green solutions
• Travel regularly within the UK and occasionally to Europe for customer meetings and industry events

• Ability to operate on-site as required
