Rate: £500/day (Outside IR35)
Location: London , 2 days per week in the office
Contract Length: 6 Months
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Product, Risk, and Compliance to capture, analyse, and document clear business requirements.
  • Translate business challenges into well-defined technical specifications that enable effective development and delivery.
  • Support the full change lifecycle, from discovery and requirements definition through to testing, implementation, and post-go-live validation.
  • Map, refine, and optimise business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce manual activity, and support scalable growth.
  • Use data and analytics to support informed decision-making, prioritisation, and performance tracking.
  • Produce high-quality documentation including user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and test scenarios.
  • Facilitate workshops and cross-functional sessions to ensure alignment and shared understanding across teams.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, digitisation, and continuous improvement within the bank’s operational and client-facing processes.
  • Ensure all change initiatives align with regulatory standards and operational governance.

Skills and Experience Required:
  • Strong background as a Business Analyst within digital, operational, banking, fintech, or financial services environments.
  • Proven ability to turn complex or ambiguous challenges into structured, actionable requirements.
  • Proficient in process mapping, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement across business and technology teams.
  • Experience working with Agile delivery frameworks and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Notion.
  • Comfortable working with data (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau) to support analysis and recommendations.
  • Technically confident, with knowledge of APIs, integrations, and data flow across systems.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across teams.
  • Curious, forward-thinking, and interested in how automation and AI can reshape banking operations and client experience.
Desirable:
  • Experience in regulated banking, fintech, or financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with core banking platforms such as Mambu or similar cloud-based systems.
  • Understanding of payments, lending, or savings products.
  • Relevant Business Analysis certifications (BCS, CBAP, IIBA) or related qualifications.
