Automation QA Engineer

A forward-thinking organization dedicated to delivering high-quality digital services is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy. The company fosters a collaborative environment that emphasizes innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role involves defining testing approaches, supporting CI/CD pipeline enhancements, and working closely with engineering, product, and user research teams to ensure the delivery of reliable, user-focused solutions. Role Overview:
The Automation QA Engineer will play a key role in designing and executing test activities, including automation, to support high-profile digital services. The role involves collaborating with multiple stakeholders to improve testing processes, incorporating user feedback, and ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards, all within an agile framework.

Key Skills & Experience:
• Experience in designing, maintaining, and executing automated test activities
• Proficiency with Playwright, JIRA, and .NET
• Strong understanding of load and performance testing approaches
• Ability to contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements
• Experience working with GCP, SQL, NUnit, Selenium, Postman, and GIT

Key Responsibilities:
• Define and implement the overall test strategy covering unit, integration, regression, and non-functional testing
• Design and execute load and performance testing approaches
• Support enhancements to CI/CD pipelines aligned with testing objectives
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and delivery meetings
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to secure approvals and technical engagement
• Establish effective unit testing practices with engineering teams to meet coverage targets
• Conduct discovery, impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, and create relevant Jira tickets
• Partner with user researchers and service designers to incorporate user feedback into testing activities
• Capture, triage, and track issues raised by end users through to resolution
• Support technical leads and architects in delivering backlog items
• Prepare and execute test scripts as necessary

Requirements:
• Must possess SC clearance
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience with automation and designing test strategies
• Ability to work on-site at least one day per week in Central London
• Available to start from 31/03/2026
• Experience in .NET, GCP, SQL, NUnit, Selenium, Postman, Playwright, GIT, JIRA, and Confluence
