My client is looking to hire a Systems Accountant, to join the Finance team and lead on the transformation and automation projects. This role will lead the Finance workstream within the transformation programme, supporting the migration from Open Accounts to MRI Financials.

My client is looking to hire a Systems Accountant, to join the Finance team and lead on the transformation and automation projects. This role will lead the Finance workstream within the transformation programme, supporting the migration from Open Accounts to MRI Financials.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading the Finance workstream for the migration to MRI Financials.
- Supporting finance data migration, cleansing, mapping, reconciliation and validation.
- Translating finance operational requirements into system configurations, workflows and controls.
- Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, cutover and go-live readiness.
- Reviewing and improving finance processes, reporting and management information.
- Supporting change management, documentation and end-user training.
- Part-qualified accountancy status (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Previous experience using Open Accounts.
- Experience as a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems Analyst, Finance Business Partner with systems responsibility, or in a similar role.
- Experience supporting or leading financial systems implementations, upgrades or migrations.
- Strong knowledge of core finance processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, budgeting and financial reporting.
- Experience of data migration, reconciliation and testing.
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to produce reports containing data.
- Experience managing project risks, issues and deadlines.
- Experience of MRI Financials, finance transformation projects and the housing association sector would be advantageous.
