I’m delighted to be partnered with a leading Housing Association in the North West. My client is looking to hire a Senior Systems Accountant, to join the Finance team and lead on the transformation and automation projects.  The overall purpose of the role is to manage financial systems and associated services across the group to provide high-quality financial reporting, controls and processes supporting strong financial management.

RESONSIBILITIES
  • Support the ongoing running and development of the finance systems ensuring full benefit is derived from technology investment.
  • Contribute to the operation and development of a high-quality finance systems offer to the business, to support excellent financial management, control and reporting with a focus on increased automation and improving reporting.
  • Evaluate and prioritise proposed improvements to system functionality, working closely with the wider finance team and business to identify system development opportunities.
  • Provide high-quality day-to-day systems support to users of the finance systems, ensuring timely and effective resolution of queries and development of appropriate solutions as required.
  • Develop and implement finance systems training to users across all sites to ensure effective use of the systems.
  • Act as finance systems lead for projects across the group.
  • Lead on complex technical system improvement projects and support the re-design of business processes as required, ensuring processes and controls are fully documented.
  • Ensure data integrity across the finance systems including robust change control and appropriate segregation of duties.
  • Ensure all finance processes are documented and fully tested.
  • Maintain strong relationships with IT, Data Analytics and Finance staff, and external support providers.
  • Develop reporting from Oracle and other relevant financial systems to service management information needs.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
  • Proven financial systems operation and development experience at a day-to-day and strategic level, including managing systems change in a large and complex organisation.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting including the preparation of financial statements, with the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the outputs from financial systems to meet accounting and audit requirements
  • Extensive experience of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, e-Business Suite or equivalent system in a large and complex organisation.
  • A recognised UK Finance qualification ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAS OR CIMA
FOR THIS YOU WILL RECEIVE A COMPETATIVE SALARY OF UP TO £69,000 BASE, PLUS EXCELLENT BENEFITS WHICH INCLUDE
