Part-Time Database Administrator – Non-Profit Organisation
Location: Remote (with monthly travel to Bedfordshire HQ)
Salary: £26,500 (full time is £44,000), 3 days a week (full time is 37 hours), permanent

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SQL Database Administrator who is passionate about using their technical expertise to support a mission-driven organisation that makes a real difference in people’s lives.
About the Role:
Working 3 days per week, you’ll take ownership of the charity’s SQL databases, ensuring they are maintained, secure, and running efficiently. You’ll play a key role in supporting data integrity and reporting, enabling the wider organisation to make informed, evidence-based decisions.
The role can be performed remotely, with a requirement to attend the Bedfordshire office just once a month, making this a flexible and sustainable option for someone looking to balance professional life with other commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and develop Microsoft SQL databases
- Monitor database performance, implement improvements, and troubleshoot issues
- Work closely with internal teams to support data reporting and integration
- Ensure data security, compliance, and backups are consistently upheld
About You:
- Proven experience in a SQL DBA role, ideally within a Microsoft tech environment
- Comfortable working autonomously and proactively
- Able to translate technical database information to non-technical stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for supporting charitable work
