This is an exciting contract opportunity for an experienced UI Designer to join a leading team within the telecommunications industry. The role is based remotely within the UK or EU, allowing you the flexibility to work from anywhere within these regions. The initial contract duration is 6 months, and the position is offered Inside IR35 at a competitive daily rate of £300–£325, depending on experience.

As a UI Designer, you will play a key role in designing accessible, user-centred digital interfaces across web and mobile platforms. You will be responsible for developing and implementing inclusive UI components that align with accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1/2.2 and the European Accessibility Act (EAA). Your day-to-day tasks will include refining typography, improving colour contrast, establishing clear visual hierarchies, and ensuring that design output meets high usability and accessibility requirements.

This role requires a seasoned designer with strong UI skills coupled with expert-level knowledge of accessibility standards. You’ll lead accessibility audits, identify gaps in existing user interfaces, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams involving product managers, developers, and other designers to deliver great user experiences. Proficiency in Figma and accessibility testing tools is essential, and you’ll be expected to contribute to the evolution of a user-first design approach across all customer touchpoints.

To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrable experience working on complex design systems, and a strong portfolio that showcases your expertise in accessible UI design. Your ability to balance aesthetics with functionality, and your in-depth understanding of WCAG compliance and EU regulations, will be critical. You should also be confident communicating design decisions, advocating for accessibility best practices, and working independently in a remote setting.

If you’re passionate about accessible design and eager to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, digital-first environment, this role offers both the flexibility and challenge you're looking for.
