Full Stack Engineer (BE Lean)

Role: Senior Full Stack Engineer (Back End Lean)

Salary range: £70,000 - £80,000

Location: UK Remote

Tech stack includes: Node.js, TypeScript, Flutter, AWS, Docker, Terraform

This is a fast-growing climate-tech startup building a platform that helps individuals and businesses measure, reduce, and offset their carbon footprint. We’re on the lookout for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong back end focus to join our team and help build scalable, reliable systems that power sustainable living.



This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to influence architecture and work across the stack, including some front end (Flutter) and DevOps responsibilities.



You’ll be responsible for:

- Designing and building scalable back end services and APIs
- Collaborating closely with product, design, and mobile teams to deliver features    end-to-end
- Maintaining and evolving cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
- Supporting front end development with Flutter when needed
- Driving technical best practices and mentoring junior engineers

What We’re Looking For:

- 5+ years experience as a software engineer with a back end lean
- Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and databases (SQL/NoSQL)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and DevOps tools       (Docker, Terraform)
- Familiarity or interest in Flutter and mobile development
- Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments with agile               methodologies
- Passion for sustainability and building tech with positive impact


Bonus:

- Previous DevOps or infrastructure automation experience
- Experience with carbon tracking or climate tech products
- Start-up or scale-up experience
