- Role Title: Senior .Net Engineer
- Rate: £500 - £540 per day
- IR35: Outside IR35
- Length: 6-month initial contract
- Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite in London, UK
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior .Net Engineer to join a leading software development company on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of innovative software solutions within a dynamic and agile team.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in .Net development, with hands-on experience in the latest technologies and frameworks. You will be working across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to architecture decisions, coding standards, and quality assurance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software using C# and .NET (Core)
- Contribute to the architecture and development of scalable web applications and APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, QA engineers, and DevOps
- Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and driving best practices
- Ensure software solutions meet both technical and business requirements
- Deliver clean, maintainable, testable, and reusable code
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Senior .Net Developer or Engineer
- Expertise in .NET Core and C# development
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with SQL Server and Entity Framework
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure is highly desirable
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git
- Ability to write clear technical documentation
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the London office. Applicants must be available to begin a 6-month contract engagement in October. The position falls outside IR35, making it an excellent opportunity for a seasoned contractor.
