Salary: £60,000 – £70,000

Reporting to: Programme Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead delivery of internal and client projects within cost, quality, and time parameters, while demonstrating business value.
  • Inspire high-performance culture and leadership within cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Convert technical theory in areas such as digital, data, software and emerging technologies into measurable project outcomes.
  • Establish strong, long-lasting relationships to ensure positive client outcomes and build future opportunities.
  • Maintain rigorous management across project scope, budget, schedule, risks and opportunities.
  • Drive project governance excellence and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Effectively plan, prioritise and balance people and resources to align with project demands.
  • Support bid development and project proposal submissions to ensure successful project initiation.
  • Ensure delivery against business case expectations and identify avenues for business growth.
  • Lead structured and efficient project reviews to track progress, issues and ensure full transparency.
  • Provide consistent, forward-looking internal and external reporting that highlights progress and potential risks or opportunities.
  • Foster a fast-paced and responsive project culture across all levels of engagement.
  • Promote and maintain a healthy, safe, and sustainable working environment for teams.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline with a minimum of five years’ experience.
  • Technically proficient, with a strong understanding of innovation in digital, data, software, and technology implementation.
  • Ability to navigate complexity and solve challenging problems efficiently and consistently.
  • Collaborative leadership style, with a focus on coaching, team-building, and shared accountability.
  • Strong communicator, capable of delivering complex information with clarity to diverse audiences including clients and stakeholders.
  • Inspirational leader who drives purpose and vision while motivating others toward shared goals.
  • Proactive decision-maker with a proven ability to ensure timely project progression and course correction where needed.
  • Experienced in managing client relationships with a customer-centric approach to delivery and interaction.
  • Commercially astute, understanding wider business context and translating this into commercially sound decisions.
  • Financially literate with experience in budget control, forecasting, commercial evaluation and contract negotiation.
  • Proficient in delivering projects through industry best practices, KPIs and operational processes.
  • Appreciates and leverages the value of diverse experiences and viewpoints within team settings.
  • Highly capable with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and modern project management tools, adapting as necessary to stakeholder needs.
  • Accountable team player, delivering results both independently and collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.
