We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Exposure Management Analyst to join an expanding Natural Catastrophe (Nat Cat) team in London. This newly created position provides the opportunity to play a key role in shaping catastrophe modelling and exposure analytics across a growing platform of syndicates. You will bring a strategic and analytical mindset, combining hands-on technical knowledge with an ability to deliver insight and influence portfolio decisions.

As part of a dynamic environment, you will design and implement exposure models aligned to multiple lines of business, maintain up-to-date property datasets, and build data-driven tools that inform risk selection and improve capital efficiency. The successful candidate will be deeply committed to leveraging technology to strengthen risk understanding and will act as a catalyst for continuous improvement in exposure analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage catastrophe exposure models across varied insurance lines.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance and validation of property exposure data.
  • Automate workflows and improve analytics using Python, R or SQL.
  • Produce interactive dashboards and tools in Power BI for internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all modelling complies with internal controls and Lloyd’s regulatory frameworks.
  • Support regulatory reporting and exposure roll-ups across syndicates.
  • Assess reinsurance strategies and catastrophe exposures to enhance capital use.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to key stakeholders and regulators.
Requirements:
  • Substantial experience in catastrophe modelling and exposure management within insurance or reinsurance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python or R, with a solid understanding of SQL.
  • Proven expertise in data visualisation using Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Positive, self-motivated attitude with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated collaboration with underwriting, actuarial or risk functions.
What You Will Receive:
  • Annual salary of £90,000 - £115,000, depending on experience.
