A leading Lloyd’s market insurer is seeking a Senior Catastrophe Analyst to take ownership of its Cyber and Liability portfolios across multiple entities. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to shape the development of Non-Natural Catastrophe Exposure Management within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.
Role Overview:
You’ll be the lead analyst for Cyber and Liability, responsible for managing all aspects of exposure management and catastrophe analytics across multiple sub-classes. This includes:
- Producing monthly business class reports and supporting internal/external roll-ups.
- Developing analytical techniques and improving data quality for Cyber and Liability.
- Collaborating closely with underwriters to ensure timely and accurate data collection.
- Driving forward the Non-Nat Cat framework and supporting ad hoc projects such as model validation and process automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio management and analysis of Cyber and Liability exposures.
- Internal and external reporting, including Group and reinsurance data preparation.
- Event response support and ad hoc underwriting requests.
- Ensuring strong data governance and variance analysis.
- Supporting the Catastrophe Managers and Head of Department with strategic initiatives.
Candidate Profile:
We’re looking for someone with:
- 5+ years’ experience in insurance, ideally within a Lloyd’s syndicate or similar.
- Strong understanding of Exposure Management, catastrophe modelling, and insurance policy structures.
- Experience in Cyber and/or Liability analytics is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel, VBA, SQL, and a strong analytical mindset.
- A degree or equivalent professional experience.
