We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to lead and deliver a Learning Management System initiative within the Higher Education sector. This is a fixed-term contract position based in London, offering a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum.
The successful candidate will oversee the end-to-end management of a Learning Management System project, working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring project deliverables align with institutional goals, maintaining timelines, managing budgets, and ensuring system integration with various platforms, including finance and payment systems.
Strong experience in finance systems and payments systems is essential, alongside proven capability in integrations using Azure technologies. Your ability to lead using matrix management, manage complex project tasks, and communicate effectively across departments will be vital to your success in this role.
This role requires a goal-oriented and organised professional who can operate independently, anticipate issues, and implement effective resolutions promptly. Previous exposure to Flywire or Agresso is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and complete the Learning Management System project in line with agreed objectives and timelines.
- Ensure seamless integration with finance and payment systems including third-party platforms.
- Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT and academic departments to gather requirements, mitigate risks and implement solutions.
- Apply matrix management principles to lead diverse project teams.
- Utilise Azure for integration activities where relevant.
- Regularly report on progress, risks, and issues to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure documentation and handover materials are completed to a high standard.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in managing finance systems projects within a Higher Education or similarly complex environment.
- Experience working with payment systems and system integrations, especially using Azure.
- Strong project and task management capability, ideally using recognised methodologies.
- High-level organisational skills and an ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Matrix management experience across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Self-motivated, proactive and solution-oriented approach to project delivery.
Desirable Experience:
- Familiarity with Flywire or Agresso platforms.
- Experience in the Higher Education sector is advantageous.
