We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with a strong background in the Housing sector and expertise in OpenAccounts financial systems. This role will play a critical part in supporting organisational decision-making by developing insightful, accurate and user-friendly dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will be proficient in extracting and transforming data from OpenAccounts and integrating it into visual analytics for stakeholders across multiple departments.
This is a fully remote position, offered on a short-term basis for an initial 2-month contract. You will be working independently to deliver dashboards and reporting solutions that improve visibility over financial and operational data across the organisation. The role falls outside IR35 and offers a competitive daily rate of £400.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.
- Extract, transform and load data from OpenAccounts and other legacy systems into suitable data models.
- Work with stakeholders in finance, IT, and housing operations to define reporting requirements and KPIs.
- Ensure data alignment, integrity and consistency across reports and dashboards.
- Create documentation and provide support and training to business users as required.
- Utilise DAX and Power Query to build complex data models and custom measures.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Strong understanding of OpenAccounts financial system, including data structures and reporting outputs.
- Solid experience working within the Housing sector, with a good understanding of financial and operational workflows.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data modelling within Power BI.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision under tight timeframes.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices.
