We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Consultant to join a dynamic Housing and IT environment for a short-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist who is proficient in delivering Microsoft Fabric solutions and can work independently in a remote setting. The successful candidate will be instrumental in helping the organisation modernise its data infrastructure using Microsoft Fabric technologies.
This is a fully remote, 3-month contract role, operating outside of IR35, offering a competitive daily rate of £450. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-focused, and have a strong background in implementing scalable data solutions within large complex organisations, preferably within the housing or public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and implement solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Synapse, and Power BI.
- Advise on best practices for data integration, modelling, governance and reporting within a cloud-first strategy.
- Collaborate closely with internal IT teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Perform data migration and transformation tasks to consolidate multiple data sources into centralised models using Fabric components.
- Develop dashboards and reports to support performance management, compliance, and strategic decision-making.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, particularly Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Power BI.
- Proven experience with data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline development.
- Solid knowledge of SQL, DAX and data governance principles.
- Ability to design and deploy enterprise-scale analytics solutions in the Azure ecosystem.
- Experience working in the housing sector or public sector environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and data catalogue tools.
- Understanding of housing management systems and their data structures.
- Microsoft certifications in Azure or data services.
