We are seeking an experienced and motivated IT Trainer to support the successful implementation and adoption of a new Housing Management System. This is a key role in a transformative project as the organisation transitions from a legacy Housing Mangement System to a new cloud-based product.
The successful candidate will be central to preparing internal teams for this change, delivering in-person training sessions across departments, and ensuring staff gain a thorough understanding of the new system. Working closely with the core project team, you will create clear, accessible training documentation and user guides, alongside contributing to UAT activities.
This is a hands-on position for someone who is confident working autonomously and has a proactive approach to training and communications. You will need to engage with a broad range of end users and subject matter experts across the organisation, tailoring training methods and support accordingly. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a solid understanding of housing systems are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver classroom-based training sessions.
- Create high-quality, user-focused training materials including user guides, training manuals, and quick reference documentation.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), collating feedback and identifying training needs or system issues.
- Provide post-training support and refreshers as required during and after system go-live.
- Work collaboratively with the project team, business units, and IT to align training with organisational goals.
- Champion system best-practice and assist in embedding usage across all departments.
Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering IT system training, preferably within the housing sector or similar public sector environment.
- Experience of working with Housing Management Systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse user groups.
- Strong documentation skills with a keen eye for detail and accessibility.
- Solid understanding of the housing sector and the operational use of housing systems.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
- Experience supporting system go-lives and change management processes is advantageous.
This opportunity offers a unique chance to play a central role in a major systems transition project, helping to embed lasting change across the organisation and contributing to service improvement for both staff and residents.
