Finance Business Partner
Our client is a transport organisation supporting strategic decision-making as it begins bus network franchising and moves parts of the operation into public ownership. This role plays a key part in ensuring the finance function enables the transition effectively—answering directly to the Transport Director at a time when structure has been confirmed and the organisation needs strong, practical finance leadership. You’ll help drive clarity, control, and pace during a high-priority period, making your input important to successful delivery.
Role Overview:
As the Finance Business Partner, you’ll provide strategic finance support to the wider leadership team—partnering closely with senior stakeholders to inform decisions and support the transition into the new bus network franchising structure.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
• Strategic finance business partnering
• Understanding of transport infrastructure and/or transport ground environments
• Knowledge relevant to finance and project management in a transport context
Key Responsibilities:
• Support strategic finance planning and analysis to inform leadership decisions
• Partner with the Transport Director and relevant stakeholders to shape and guide finance inputs during the franchising transition
• Provide day-to-day finance business partnering support to drive clarity and effective delivery during the restructure period
• Help ensure finance and project management considerations are integrated appropriately to support timing and cost expectations
Requirements:
• Experience in finance business partnering and FP&A
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate closely with stakeholders
• Availability to start on 15/06/2026
Nice to Have (Optional):
• Experience with work overlapping South Yorkshire Combined Authority (finance and project management with transport focus)
