Director of IT

This role involves overseeing the daily digital, data, and technology operations to ensure systems run reliably and securely. It’s ideal for a candidate who enjoys working closely with teams, supporting incident response, and maintaining seamless digital services and infrastructure.

Role Overview:

The purpose of the Director of IT is to deliver operational excellence in digital and data functions, ensuring they support the organisation’s workflows efficiently and securely. The role involves close engagement with staff, hands-on problem-solving, and ensuring the continuity of digital and data services within a delivery-focused environment.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in digital or IT operations leadership

• Strong stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment with on-site responsibilities

• Hands-on approach to managing digital systems, data quality, and incident response

• Understanding of workflows and organisational culture

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the smooth operation of all digital systems, devices, and platforms

• Support and manage operational incidents, including cyber events

• Ensure reliable infrastructure and service performance

• Work with digital teams to resolve issues and implement improvements

• Support data quality, reporting processes, and governance activities

• Understand and address data requirements and challenges

• Provide visible leadership to support digital adoption and day-to-day use

• Embed within the organisation’s culture and workflows to facilitate seamless operations

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK

• Experience in NPO Housing sector (desirable)

• Stakeholder management skills

• On-site presence required (hybrid work with 2-4 days on-site)

• Available to start from 17/03/2026

• Delivering the role as an inside IR35 contractor

• Pay rate of £700 per day
