Data Engineer

Role Overview:
The Data Engineer is a key member of the data team, responsible for delivering high-quality data solutions that facilitate effective data management and analytics. The role involves working across various projects to build scalable data pipelines and integrate data systems, ensuring smooth data flow and governance within the organization.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Strong Azure experience
• Python, Apache Spark, SQL
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or Snowflake
• Proven track record of delivering solutions in Data Governance, Data Migration, Data Modelling, ETL/ELT, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, Master Data Management, and BI
• Understanding of Agile & DevOps, Git, APIs, containers, microservices, and data pipelines
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Notebooks, and Dataflows Gen2
• Deliver data solutions involving Data Governance, Migration, and Modelling
• Support data warehousing, Data Lakes, and master data management initiatives
• Collaborate with teams to ensure data quality and compliance
• Contribute to real-time analytics and structured streaming projects
• Apply engineering best practices within Agile and DevOps frameworks
Requirements:
• Right to work in the UK
• Proven experience in data engineering roles
• Experience with at least one of Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, or Azure Synapse
• Building data pipelines using relevant tools and platforms
• Knowledge of Lakehouse components such as Delta Lake, Unity Catalog/One Lake, ML Flow
• Relevant certifications including Databricks Data Engineer Associate or Professional, Microsoft DP-600 or DP-700
