Data Reliability Support Engineer

Role Overview:

The Data Reliability Support Engineer is responsible for supporting the management and assurance of operational data quality across key source systems. This position ensures data meets defined standards for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, enabling reliable analytics and decision-making organization-wide.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Data Quality experience

• Proven track record in data operations, data quality management, or data platform operations

• Strong understanding of data flows between enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM

• Experience setting and managing SLAs/OLAs for data quality and timeliness

• Ability to analyse data issues, schemas, and integrations

• Stakeholder management skills working with engineers, product owners, and business users

• Experience collaborating with Data Governance functions

• Proactive and process-driven in fast-changing environments

• Exposure to data quality or monitoring tools; interest in automation/AI (desirable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support end-to-end operational data quality management for source systems contributing to the Data Lake

• Assist in defining and implementing SLAs/OLAs for data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness

• Collaborate with source system teams and business users to improve data capture processes

• Help design and monitor controls and checks to prevent data corruption

• Contribute to regular operational forums focused on data quality incident review and continuous improvement initiatives

• Develop tools, dashboards, and procedures for daily monitoring of critical data flows

• Support investigation and resolution of data quality incidents, driving root-cause analysis and fixes

• Work closely with Data Ops and Data Governance teams to ensure alignment on standards, rules, and ownership
