Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Intelligence Lead to join a leading Lloyd's Insurance syndicate in London. You will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the data platform, data warehousing, and the continued development of management information and business intelligence systems. This position involves close collaboration with the Head of Data & Analytics and guiding a team to ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions and insights.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Head of Data & Analytics to maintain and enhance the data platform and data warehousing capabilities.
- Develop and deliver insightful management information (MI) and business intelligence (BI) solutions.
- Perform data validation and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Provide guidance and technical direction to the BI/Data team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver business-driven data solutions.
- Analyse complex datasets to support strategic decision-making processes.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong expertise in Power BI, including DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Proficient in SQL Server and query optimisation.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management with excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience working within the insurance industry, preferably in Lloyd's market or syndicates.
- Demonstrable ability to manage and deliver data-driven solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of data governance and regulatory requirements in the insurance sector.
- Familiarity with other BI/Analytics tools and programming languages.
