Insight & BI Analyst

Manchester City Centre | Hybrid (2–3 days per week in office)

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + bonus + benefits

Gravitas is supporting a data‑driven organisation within financial services in the search for an Insight & BI Analyst to join a growing analytics function based in Manchester city centre.

This is a dual‑focus role combining business intelligence delivery with deeper analytical insight. It’s an excellent opportunity for a strong graduate or early‑career analyst who enjoys working with data end‑to‑end, from building clear, high‑quality reporting to answering the “so what?” through analysis that genuinely influences commercial decision‑making.

If you’re analytically curious, detail‑oriented, and motivated by using data to solve real business problems, this role offers a strong platform for growth in a fast‑paced, data‑rich environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, build, and maintain BI dashboards and management information that give stakeholders clear visibility of business performance
  • Analyse data to surface actionable insight, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across the business
  • Work closely with operational and commercial teams to understand data needs and translate them into meaningful analytical outputs
  • Support the development of analytical and forecasting models to inform strategy and planning
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes, documentation, and reporting standards
  • Present findings clearly and confidently to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Help evolve reporting from descriptive MI into insight‑led, decision‑driving analysis
What You Bring

Core Experience
  • Minimum 2:1 degree in a numerate discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Python and/or SQL, with the ability to write clean, efficient code for data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience generating insight from data, with the ability to clearly explain what the results mean and why they matter
  • A structured, analytical problem‑solving mindset
  • Highly diligent and detail‑oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Power BI, including dashboard development and data modelling
  • Exposure to building MI or management reporting suites
  • 2+ years’ industry experience, ideally within financial services, debt purchasing, or collections
  • Some exposure to statistical or predictive modelling techniques
What’s on Offer
  • Salary up to £45,000 per annum
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including private medical insurance
  • Generous annual leave allowance
  • Pension scheme
  • Hybrid working – 2–3 days per week in the Manchester city centre office
