Underwriting Analyst – Delegated Authority / MGA Portfolio

Overview
An opportunity to join a specialist underwriting team supporting the management of a delegated authority portfolio across the EMEA region. The role combines underwriting support, data analysis, bordereaux oversight and stakeholder coordination, ensuring accurate portfolio monitoring and providing management with key insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support underwriters with research, analysis and onboarding of new business opportunities.

  • Coordinate the collection and submission of underwriting and due diligence documentation.

  • Liaise with Exposure Management teams to facilitate risk modelling and portfolio analysis.

  • Review bordereaux submissions, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with contractual requirements.

  • Monitor data processing activities and work closely with Operations teams to maintain data quality.

  • Assist with premium, claims and income tracking, ensuring accurate booking and reporting.

  • Support underwriting audits, including preparation of documentation and maintenance of audit records.

  • Validate portfolio data for quarterly reporting and ensure actions arising from reviews are completed.

  • Coordinate client meetings, prepare meeting documentation and track follow-up actions.

  • Collaborate with Pricing, Operations and Underwriting teams to develop and enhance reporting dashboards.

  • Support annual planning exercises through data gathering and portfolio analysis.

Requirements

  • Experience within the insurance market, ideally across delegated authority, MGA, underwriting support, operations, analytics or actuarial functions.

  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.

  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
