Underwriting Operations Analyst

Overview
An opportunity to join a central underwriting operations team, supporting multiple insurance product lines and working closely with underwriting, operations and business stakeholders. The role focuses on the accurate processing and maintenance of risk data, ensuring underwriting information is captured correctly within internal systems while supporting operational efficiency and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact and subject matter expert for designated product lines.
  • Process new business submissions, policy data and endorsements accurately within underwriting systems.
  • Maintain risk records and ensure data quality standards are met.
  • Review and resolve data discrepancies, exceptions and system-generated queries.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end operational activities and reporting deadlines.
  • Manage underwriting documentation, workflows and audit trails across internal systems.
  • Liaise with underwriting and support teams to resolve processing, quality control and contract certainty queries.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support system enhancements, upgrades and testing activities.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with underwriting, operations and wider business teams to deliver service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, governance requirements and operational controls.
  • Participate in training and continuous professional development activities.
  • Support ad-hoc operational projects and business initiatives as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within insurance operations, underwriting support, policy administration or a similar function.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when working with data and documentation.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and support problem resolution.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
