We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Application Support Analyst to join our cross-functional team. You will be responsible for supporting legacy systems used across the organisation—including functions such as Claims, Underwriting, Finance, and HR.
This role requires a strong balance of technical troubleshooting skills and excellent communication abilities. It is user-facing, and you will play a critical part in providing high-quality, timely application support in a hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for incoming support tickets, maintaining timely communications and updates to end-users.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in legacy applications built on VB.NET, SQL, and C#; escalate complex issues to the Change or 3rd Line support teams as needed.
- Run SQL queries and perform data corrections to resolve incidents efficiently and accurately.
- Monitor system alerts, performance metrics, and logs to proactively address potential service disruptions.
- Utilise basic scripting to support monitoring and automation tasks where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with Infrastructure, Networking, and Change teams to resolve cross-platform and interdepartmental issues.
- Adhere to ITIL-aligned processes in the handling of incidents, problems, and changes—including participation in CAB meetings where required.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in an application support or technical support role, ideally within a large multi-departmental organisation.
- Technical proficiency in VB.NET (for debugging purposes), strong SQL skills (data manipulation and investigation), and a working knowledge of C#.
- Experience working within ITIL frameworks, including structured workflows for incident and change management.
- Strong customer service mindset with effective communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable operating in a hybrid work setup, with availability to attend the London office twice per week.
If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, please apply with your updated CV. We look forward to hearing from enthusiastic candidates ready to contribute to a dynamic support environment.
