We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead IT workstreams on major estates projects aligned with the strategic goals of a UK university. The role will play a key part in driving forward several exciting and high-impact projects, including a major estates transformation initiative. Essential Skills:
- Relevant degree or professional certification
- Project Management Certification (Prince2, Agile, MSP, PMP) or equivalent experience
- Experience in IT infrastructure projects
- Proven experience managing Estates projects
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities
Desirable Skills:
- Higher Education sector experience
- Understanding of Business Analysis
- Practical understanding of best practice with a flexible, pragmatic approach to delivery
You will join the Commercial and Portfolio Team, taking the lead on IT components of estates-related projects. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with client representatives, IT leaders, senior stakeholders, and external partners
- Defining and delivering IT requirements throughout the full project lifecycle
- Managing project plans, budgets, risks, and communications
- Ensuring alignment with ITIL, internal delivery frameworks (both waterfall and agile), and the RIBA Plan of Work
- Considering total cost of ownership, technical implications, and service improvement strategies
- Delivering reliable, future-ready IT services that enhance the experience of users across the organisation
