The Senior Business System Analyst role supports a large-scale transformation programme within a well-established UK organisation. The position is part of a growing Data & Business Systems team focused on modernising legacy processes and implementing scalable platforms, beginning with CRM and sales ledger transformation.

Role Overview
The Senior Business System Analyst will work at the centre of complex change initiatives, collaborating with operational teams, developers, technical specialists, and third-party suppliers. The role involves gathering and analysing business requirements, mapping processes, documenting functional specifications, and supporting testing activities. Success relies on effectively translating business needs into practical system solutions, supporting the development team, and ensuring smooth deployment within a dynamic environment.
Key Skills & Experience
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements
- Map and improve current and future-state processes
- Produce user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria
- Use SQL to investigate, validate, and reconcile data
- Support testing activities, including UAT and defect management
- Collaborate with developers, data teams, and external suppliers
- Improve documentation and knowledge capture within a legacy environment
- Provide guidance and support to a small technical team
Nice to Have
- Experience with CRM, ERP, finance, sales ledger, or order-to-cash projects
- SQL for data investigation and validation
- Experience with system migration or legacy modernisation projects
- Knowledge of integrations, APIs, middleware, or data migration
- Familiarity with SQL Server, SSIS, Alteryx, Jira, or Power BI
- Experience working in complex operational environments with established systems
