We are seeking an experienced Product Owner at Manager level with a robust technical and functional background to lead enterprise application modernisation projects. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in system analysis, redesigning complex business rules, and defining content structures of legacy systems, ensuring a smooth transition to modern platforms without compromising critical business functionality.
Working as a trusted advisor to clients undergoing Digital Business Transformation, you will define the vision, strategy, roadmap, and priorities for digital product initiatives. You will be responsible for understanding customer pain points and aligning digital solutions to deliver measurable outcomes through iterative implementation cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse existing application workflows, business processes, and architecture to define effective modernisation strategies.
- Document and preserve critical business rules during system upgrades and replacements.
- Translate complex processes into user stories aligned with product goals and development priorities.
- Develop and refine product roadmaps, and prioritise features based on user value and business impact.
- Work closely with developers, architects, business stakeholders, and end-users to capture and validate requirements.
- Act as the liaison between business needs and technical execution, ensuring customer-centric product development.
- Lead backlog management, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies to ensure timely delivery of product increments.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to evaluate business outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, security policies, and operational requirements.
- Apply Lean-Agile practices to maximise value delivery and remove systemic inefficiencies.
Technical Skills Required:
- Deep experience in application modernisation, legacy systems transformation, and system analysis.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence, and documentation tools.
- Strong understanding of monolithic systems, microservices architecture, APIs, and cloud technologies.
- Hands-on skills in database structure analysis, API reviews, and system integration mapping.
- Experience defining end-to-end digital workflows and system dependencies.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at executive levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- MBA is considered an advantage.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
