Business Analyst
Location: London (Hybrid – 4 days onsite per week)
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 D.O.E

As part of continued investment into their London Asset Management technology function, they are seeking a Business Analyst who can play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering technology, regulatory and operational change. This position sits at the heart of the business, translating complex requirements into practical, high‑quality solutions that support strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Compliance and internal teams to deliver accurate regulatory reports and ensure alignment with industry obligations.
- Gather, interpret, and document business needs using a range of analysis techniques.
- Evaluate requirements from different stakeholders, identify gaps or conflicts, and present clear, structured solution options.
- Act as the bridge between business users, development teams, and third‑party vendors to ensure smooth delivery.
- Maintain open, proactive communication with stakeholders on timelines, risks, and progress updates.
- Design and document robust processes and controls to support new systems and workflows.
- Plan and coordinate implementation phases, ensuring seamless transitions into production.
- Oversee or support deployments into live environments, ensuring quality and stability.
- Produce high‑quality documentation, user guides, and handover materials for implemented solutions.
Essential Skills
- 4+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within financial services or a technology‑focused environment.
- Strong understanding of a broad range of financial products (e.g., derivatives, fixed income, FX, equities).
- Ability to write complex SQL queries and work confidently across Oracle and SQL Server databases.
- Experience working with XML, XSLT, or similar tools for data mapping and interfacing.
- Familiarity with managing release cycles and coordinating changes in time‑sensitive production environments.
- Exposure to real‑time messaging or similar integration technologies.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, with confidence engaging global stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience working within Asset Management or a similarly regulated financial sector.
- VBA knowledge for reporting or data transformation tasks.
- Previous involvement in vendor integrations or third‑party system onboarding.
- Ability to balance multiple workstreams and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and support colleagues across levels.
