We are seeking an experienced Power BI Officer to join our team in the housing sector on a 3-month contract basis. This role is located in London and offers a hybrid working model, with a mix of onsite and remote work. The position is inside IR35 and offers a daily rate of £300.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing Power BI dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making across the organisation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, design effective data visualisations, and ensure accurate and timely reporting to help monitor performance and inform strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.
- Transform raw data from multiple sources into meaningful insights using Power Query, DAX, and data modelling practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Monitor data quality and integrity, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all reporting tools.
- Provide insight and analysis to support strategic planning and operational improvements.
- Promote best practices in dashboard design and data visualisation.
- Train and support end-users in the effective use of Power BI reporting tools.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience using Power BI to build and publish dashboards within a housing or public sector environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and complex data models.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query.
- Experience integrating multiple data sources and designing user-friendly interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
