Data and Insight Analyst

Role Overview:
The Data and Insight Analyst will serve as the organisation’s first dedicated data hire, owning end-to-end data analysis, reporting, and insights across multiple departments. They will drive the development of dashboards, identify trends, and automate reporting processes, contributing significantly to the company’s data-driven culture.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Experience in a Data Analyst, BI, or reporting-focused role
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data
• Proven experience building dashboards and visualisations using BI tools such as Power BI
• Confident working with stakeholders across business functions
• Ability to translate complex data into clear and understandable insights
• Attention to detail and data accuracy
• Comfortable working independently and owning end-to-end projects
• Skills in Data SQL and Power BI
Key Responsibilities:
• Own end-to-end delivery of data analysis, reporting, and insights across the organisation
• Collaborate with product, operations, finance, and commercial teams to gather requirements and deliver insights
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and visualisations using BI tools
• Analyse customer usage and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Support development and automation of reporting workflows and processes
• Explore and adopt AI tools to enhance insights and operational efficiency
• Present insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements:
• Right to work in the UK and available to work on-site in Leeds as part of a hybrid working pattern
• Proven experience in data analysis, BI, or related roles
• Hands-on experience with SQL or querying databases (desirable)
• Experience with Power BI or similar tools
• Ability to work independently and manage projects end-to-end
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
Nice to Have:
• Exposure to APIs (REST preferred)
• Experience with Yellowfin or similar reporting tools
• Background in SaaS or software environment
• Interest in AI, prompt engineering, or automation tools
• Knowledge of data governance or data management practices
