Housing Systems Support Engineer

Location: South East England (Hybrid – 2 days per week in-office)

Salary: £55,000 + Excellent Benefits

Contract: Permanent

Are you a systems specialist who thrives on complex data challenges? Do you want to play a pivotal role in a transformation project that will directly impact thousands of residents across the South East?

The Role

We are supporting one of the region’s leading social housing providers. The organisation need to merge two legacy environments into a single, high-performing platform. They need a Housing Systems Support Engineer to ensure our data and systems remain robust, integrated, and reliable.

This isn’t just a "business as usual" support role. You will be at the heart of a migration project, helping them bridge the gap between systems while maintaining the high standard of service our teams and residents expect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Migration & Integration: Act as a technical lead during the migration of vast datasets, ensuring data integrity and mapping accuracy between two primary systems.

  • System Optimization: Provide 2nd and 3rd-line support for our core housing management systems, troubleshooting complex issues and implementing fixes.

  • Continuous Improvement: Work closely with stakeholders to automate workflows and enhance system functionality post-migration.

  • Vendor Liaison: Collaborate with external software providers to resolve technical bugs and influence product roadmaps.

What You’ll Bring

  • Technical Expertise: Strong experience supporting core Housing Management Systems (e.g., Northgate/NEC, Civica CX, MRI / OpenHousing / OneHousing, Rubixx, MIS Active H or Aareon QL).

  • Migration Experience: Proven track record of working on large-scale data migrations or system mergers.

  • SQL Skills: Proficiency in SQL for data querying, reporting, and troubleshooting is essential.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: The ability to look at a complex data discrepancy and find the root cause.

  • Social Housing Passion: An understanding of the sector (and the importance of accurate data for compliance and repairs) is a huge plus.
