London | Client‑Facing | Supporting Senior Producing Brokers | Excellent Package
This is an exceptional opportunity for a technically strong Property reinsurance professional to move into a senior, client‑facing analytical role supporting the Sales team of a leading global reinsurance broker.
The position works closely with Senior Producing Brokers, providing high‑quality analytical insight to support the placement and structuring of complex, high‑value Property reinsurance programmes. While this is not a sales role, it sits very close to the commercial front line and offers significantly more client exposure than traditional modelling or actuarial positions.
It would suit someone from a cat modelling, actuarial or analytical background who has realised they want their work to have greater external visibility, client interaction and commercial context.
Why this role stands out
- Client‑facing analytical role with regular involvement in client meetings, presentations and discussions
- Commercial proximity without sales targets — supporting Producing Brokers rather than carrying revenue responsibility
- Exposure to sophisticated, high‑end Property reinsurance programmes
- A clear step‑change in visibility, where analytical insight directly influences decisions and outcomes
- International travel, including client visits across Europe and occasional international marketing trips
- A strong long‑term career platform that combines technical depth with external exposure
The role
As a Senior Property Reinsurance Analyst, you will act as a technical and analytical partner to the Sales team and their clients.
You will support Producing Brokers on major Property reinsurance accounts, delivering structuring, pricing and benchmarking analysis to inform placements and negotiations. You will participate in client meetings and presentations, helping explain and contextualise analytical outputs, and advise on programme design throughout the full renewal lifecycle.
The role also involves supporting new business pitches and marketing activity with clear, commercially relevant insight, working alongside specialist catastrophe modelling teams to interpret and communicate risk outputs, and proactively identifying analytical opportunities that enhance broker effectiveness and client value.
The emphasis is on judgement, relevance and communication — not producing analysis in isolation.
Background & experience
This role would suit someone with experience in Property reinsurance analytics, catastrophe modelling or actuarial work, alongside a solid understanding of structuring, pricing and benchmarking.
You should be comfortable interpreting catastrophe model outputs and explaining them to non‑technical audiences, interested in becoming more client‑facing and commercially connected, and confident contributing in meetings with brokers, underwriters and senior client stakeholders.
Strong Excel skills are essential, with exposure to MetaRisk, Python or SQL an advantage but not essential. Actuarial qualifications are welcome but not required.
Working environment, travel & package
The role is London‑based within a high‑performing, in‑person marketplace environment, with hybrid flexibility outside of peak renewal periods. There is client travel within Europe and occasional international marketing trips.
An excellent overall compensation package is on offer, reflecting the seniority, responsibility and exposure of the role, along with strong long‑term development for those looking to build a career at the intersection of analytics, clients and commercial decision‑making.
