Senior Database Developer
The Senior Database Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, sustainable data solutions, supporting the company's evolving data architecture needs. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex data systems within a dynamic environment that values technical expertise and innovative thinking.
The company operates within data-heavy sectors, providing mission-critical data infrastructure and solutions. The team reports directly to the Head of Application Development and Infrastructure, collaborating closely with offshore developers and stakeholders across geographies.
- Lead the development of scalable data architectures and optimise existing systems
- Manage SQL database design, deployment, and troubleshooting to ensure data integrity and performance
- Build and maintain SQL solutions, including procedures, scripts, and integration processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data models and technical specifications
- Drive the implementation of cloud migration initiatives, including AWS and cloud-based platforms like Snowflake and Databricks
- Argue data architecture decisions and drive scalable, long-term solutions
- Up-skill in cloud technologies and data engineering practices as needed
