Senior Catastrophe / Exposure Management Analyst
Location: London
Type: Permanent
Department: Exposure Management

A leading London Market insurer is seeking a Senior Catastrophe / Exposure Management Analyst to join its specialist Non‑Natural Catastrophe team. This is a key role supporting the development, reporting, and oversight of exposure across several fast‑evolving classes, with a particular focus on delivering high‑quality exposure reporting for Cyber, Liability, Political Violence, and Terrorism portfolios.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will act as a lead analyst for Non‑Nat Cat reporting, taking ownership of portfolio analytics, monthly reporting cycles, and the continual enhancement of exposure management processes. You will develop and refine analytical techniques for non‑natural catastrophe classes, ensuring exposure metrics are accurately captured, validated, and communicated to both underwriting and senior stakeholders.

A core part of the role involves producing monthly class reports, supporting roll‑ups for internal and external submissions, and responding to underwriting requests for granular risk insights. You will present results, explain portfolio movements, ensure data completeness, and obtain sign‑off for key exposure metrics used across the business.

You will also support wider governance requirements, contribute to process automation, and assist with ad hoc projects such as model reviews, tool development, and event response.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead analyst for exposure reporting across major non‑nat cat classes.
  • Manage all exposure analytics for Cyber, Liability, Political Violence, and Terrorism portfolios.
  • Produce monthly reports, analyse variances, and support group‑level and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure data governance best practices are maintained.
  • Work closely with underwriters, presenting insights and handling ad hoc information requests.
  • Support outward reinsurance submissions.
  • Contribute to framework development and continuous improvement across non‑nat cat exposure management.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of Exposure Management and catastrophe modelling.
  • Solid insurance knowledge gained in a relevant market role.
  • Experience with non‑nat cat classes is beneficial.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data tools such as Excel, SQL, and VBA.
  • Minimum five years’ experience within the insurance or Lloyd’s market
Very flexible hybrid working arrangements (1-3 days per week in office)

If you’re looking for a senior analytical role with real influence and outstanding flexibility and rewards, I’d love to speak with you.
