About the Role
A leading Lloyd’s market insurer is seeking a Risk Analyst to join its dynamic Exposure Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a growing organisation that writes multiple classes of business globally. The role is ideal for individuals with a background in natural sciences, geography, mathematics, physics, or other STEM disciplines who want to apply their analytical skills to solve real-world problems in the insurance sector.
About the Team
The Exposure Management team plays a critical role in supporting underwriting units and managing catastrophe risk. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing catastrophe modelling analysis for individual accounts and full portfolios.
- Producing exposure metrics and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring exposures to natural and man-made catastrophic events.
- Acting as subject matter experts on current and emerging catastrophic hazards.
You’ll join a collaborative team of seven specialists and report to one of the team managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with Lloyd’s exposure management reporting (e.g., SBF forms, LCM, RDS, RDL returns).
- Support data process improvements and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Contribute to developing the team’s view of risk and catastrophe exposure.
- Prepare reinsurance data submissions and assist with pricing structures.
- Manage modelling submissions and liaise with underwriters and external modelling providers.
- Produce monthly portfolio reports and committee papers.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel; exposure to tools like Power BI, SQL, GIS, or Python is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach.
