Mobile Developer

Role Overview:
As a Mobile Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining sophisticated Android applications. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to delivering scalable and high-performance mobile solutions that support the organisation's objectives.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Strong expertise in Kotlin programming.
• Experience with Android development using Jetpack Compose.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and handling JSON data.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective team communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop high-performance Android applications with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define and implement features.
• Integrate applications with external data sources and internal APIs.
• Write clean, testable code and perform comprehensive unit testing.
• Stay current with emerging tools and frameworks to enhance development efficiency.
• Support and mentor junior developers through coaching and pair programming.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality output.
• Follow security best practices to protect user data and ensure secure coding standards.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and processing JSON data.
• Comfortable working with Git in a team environment.
• Familiarity with Agile development frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Ability to work on-site in a hybrid environment.
• Eligible to obtain SC clearance due to handling government-sensitive data.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Available to commence on 22/06/2026.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Prior knowledge of government projects or sensitive data handling.
