We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Consultant for a remote contract role. This is an outstanding opportunity for a data professional with proven expertise in the Microsoft Fabric platform, including experience across key areas such as Power BI, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Data Lake. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimising end-to-end data solutions within enterprise-level environments.
This role is ideal for a consultant who can engage with stakeholders, translate business requirements into scalable data solutions, and ensure high standards of data integrity and governance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and play a pivotal role in leveraging Microsoft Fabric to deliver advanced analytics capabilities and robust reporting frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing solutions using Microsoft Fabric components such as Power BI, Dataflows, Data Activator, Synapse Data Engineering, and Pipelines.
- Collaborating with business users to define data requirements and deliver high-impact data visualisations and reports.
- Managing and optimising data environments including Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, and SQL-based services.
- Developing and maintaining data models, ETL pipelines, and data governance strategies.
- Providing strategic advice on modern data platform architectures using Microsoft Fabric.
- Ensuring best practices in data quality, security, and compliance are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with the Microsoft Fabric platform and its core components.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query (M Language).
- Extensive experience in Azure data services such as Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, and SQL Databases.
- A deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modelling, and ETL processes.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and agile development environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft data technologies would be a strong advantage.
