Role Overview
This role will focus on the ongoing development, optimisation and maintenance of our Microsoft Power Platform system. The platform currently operates as a CRM and is evolving into a broader ERP-style system managing sales pipeline, project management, costing and quoting, procurement, timesheets and wider HR processes.
You will work alongside our current developer, with a structured handover ahead of their contract ending in June. In the short term, the priority is ensuring the existing system is ready ahead of the go-live date on 1 June 2026. Longer term, you will help develop internal process automation and additional external integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Continue development of our Model-Driven App (core focus).
- Build and enhance automations using Power Automate and plug-ins.
- Maintain and optimise existing live Power Automate flows.
- Develop AI-driven and process automation features.
- Analyse, debug and amend existing JavaScript, plug-ins and custom code.
- Fix bugs and improve performance across the live system.
- Contribute to architectural and process design discussions.
- Support integration with external systems via APIs.
- Maintain and extend integration with Xero (with potential future migration to D365 Finance within ~24 months).
- Support documentation management via SharePoint integrations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Model-Driven Apps.
- Strong experience with Power Automate.
- Demonstrable experience with JavaScript, plug-ins and custom development (not purely low-code).
- Experience working with APIs and external integrations.
- Ability to analyse and amend existing custom code.
- Experience maintaining and improving live production environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work proactively.
Desirable
- Experience with Canvas Apps.
- Experience with Power BI.
- SharePoint integration experience.
- Exposure to ERP-style systems or CRM-to-ERP transformation projects.
- Understanding of business processes and commercial operations.
- Knowledge of D365 Finance (or similar accounting/finance integrations).

Salary
£55,000–£80,000 depending on experience (flexible for the right candidate).
