We are seeking an experienced HTML Engineer to join a project on a part-time, contract basis within the automotive servicing industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working flexibly while contributing individually to impactful digital solutions. Based in London, Greater London, United Kingdom, you will collaborate directly with a well-established client in the car maintenance sector, supporting their external client base through high-quality web interfaces, updates, fixes, and customisations.
Your focus will be on delivering clean, maintainable HTML and PHP code that aligns with the design and technical requirements of stakeholders. You will be expected to work independently, taking ownership of your output and ensuring effective communication with the external clients you support. The role will require a strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility, responsive layout design, and user-focused development practices.
To be successful in this role, you should have proven commercial experience with HTML5, CSS3, and PHP, along with the ability to integrate your code within larger systems and backend functionality. Familiarity with responsive frameworks and modern development tools is advantageous, alongside an understanding of web performance optimisation and accessibility standards.
You should be comfortable working three days per week and managing your own time effectively, as well as confident in client-facing situations. This contract sits outside IR35 and offers a daily rate of £150. The role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, technically-focused environment and is looking for stable, part-time contract work over the course of six months.
