About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Web Developer to join our team in Canary Wharf, London. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining multiple web applications, ensuring they remain secure, performant, and aligned with modern web standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain multiple web applications, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability 
• Develop custom web applications and themes from scratch with a focus on modern standards 
• Create custom modules and extensions tailored to specific business requirements 
• Implement and customise e-commerce solutions (Wordpress and Woocommerce is used for the CMS + Ecommerce solution) 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions 
• Optimise performance across page speed, core functions, data processing etc 
• Implement modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks to provide custom functionality and enhance user experience 
• Conduct regular site audits and implement improvements
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly
• Stay current with framework updates, security patches, and industry best practices

Required Skills & Experience

Essential Requirements

• 3-5 years of proven experience as a full stack developer
• Strong portfolio demonstrating custom web application development
• Extensive experience with e-commerce platforms and customization 
• Proficiency in PHP and other backend languages, including best practices and coding standards
• Strong front-end development skills:
• Experience with modern libraries/frameworks (React, Vue.js, or similar)
• CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS)
• Build tools (Webpack, Gulp, or similar)

Experience developing custom web applications from scratch

Ability to create custom modules and extensions with clean, maintainable code Strong understanding of web application architecture, design patterns, and APIs

Knowledge of web performance optimisation techniques

Understanding of SEO best practices

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Desirable Skills

Experience with headless CMS implementations

Knowledge of REST API development

Use of modern development workflows and CI/CD pipelines

Experience with various CMS platforms

Experience with multilingual websites
