I’m delighted to be partnered with an established Social Housing provider. They’re looking to hire a Finance Business Partner to work with the Development team and report into the Head of Finance.
The Finance Business Partner will be required to challenge, influence and support all internal budget holders and work with external partners.
This requirement is fully remote working, with occasional trips into the Head office in Cambridgeshire, for Team meetings.

I’m delighted to be partnered with an established Social Housing provider. They’re looking to hire a Finance Business Partner to work with the Development team and report into the Head of Finance.
The Finance Business Partner will be required to challenge, influence and support all internal budget holders and work with external partners.
This requirement is fully remote working, with occasional trips into the Head office in Cambridgeshire, for Team meetings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the monthly monitoring and reporting for the development programme, including cash flows, development targets and monitored KPI’s.
- To monitor the Sequel and Proval systems, ensuring information is frequently updated and is accurate. Working with the Development team to implement any process improvements needed.
- To update the development cash flow each month by recording actual expenditure and reforecasting future expenditure so that this information can be used to accurately monitor cash requirements.
- Responsible for all management accounting including forecasting, budgeting and statutory accounting relating to development spend.
- Responsible for getting new developments “security ready” in conjunction with the Development department and solicitors.
- Assisting with building schemes using the Brixx software, so they can be included in the Group financial planning. Responsible for producing accurate, timely and insightful financial and non-financial reports and financial analysis.
- Working closely with the business planning and treasury manager, prepare accurate and timely monthly Management Accounts, Financial Reports and Board Reports. Proactively monitor business performance, highlight risks, and work with the management team to take corrective action.
- As part of the Management Accounts preparation, take responsibility for accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, specific areas of income and expenditure, and commentary.
- Support the production of quarterly and annual regulatory and statutory accounts and reports as required.
- Production of timely and accurate reports for Directors’ Team, Committees and Board Members as directed by the business planning and treasury manager.
- Qualified Accountant - A recognized accounting qualification - ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA,
- Previous experience of working in the Housing Sector and dealing with the main tasks outlined Development accounting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills – Financial Modelling
- Excellent communicator, able to communicate and present financial information to non-Finance experts.
- ProVal and Sequal Systems
- Valuation/securitisation experience
