A global reinsurance broker is seeking a Catastrophe Analyst to join a new and growing analytics team. Reporting to the Director of NAT CAT Analytics, this is a unique opportunity to help shape a cutting-edge analytics capability from the ground up.
You’ll deliver high-quality modelling across property and specialty lines, support strategic initiatives, and collaborate closely with senior brokers and analytics colleagues. The role offers a blend of technical modelling, client-facing work, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver catastrophe modelling analysis for reinsurance placements and portfolio reviews.
- Develop workflows, reporting tools, and broking packs with actionable insights.
- Present model outputs to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support regulatory reporting (e.g., Solvency II, Lloyd’s RDS).
- Contribute to model evaluation and automation initiatives.
About You:
- Experience in CAT modelling (broker, insurer, reinsurer, or vendor).
- Proficient in RMS or Verisk; strong Excel and SQL skills.
- Clear communicator with an understanding of reinsurance structures.
- Python/R coding and GIS experience a plus.
- Exposure to Marine, Property Treaty or Retro lines desirable.
