BI Assistant
The BI Assistant joins our client’s team to support data integration processes, reporting, and analysis within a structured IT environment. The role emphasizes learning and development, functioning as a backfill position with potential for broader progression.

Role Overview
The BI Assistant will work closely with Bethany, who leads data within the IT department, reporting directly to her. The role involves checking overnight integration jobs, investigating failures, gathering requirements for reporting, writing SQL queries and stored procedures, and supporting Power BI and Excel-based reporting. Success in this role will be characterised by effective problem solving, analytical capability, and a proactive approach to learning new skills.
Key Skills & Experience
- Build SQL queries and stored procedures for reporting and integration purposes
- Gather requirements for business reporting projects
- Check overnight data integration jobs and log files
- Support Power BI and Excel reporting outputs
- Investigate and resolve data integration failures
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Basic SQL knowledge and intermediate Excel skills
- On-site location in Kent
- Available to start on 20/08/2026
- Working in a hybrid environment, initially office-based
