Applied AI Engineer

Role Overview:
As an Applied AI Engineer, you will work directly with clients in a forward-deployed capacity to develop and deploy AI solutions throughout the entire project lifecycle. Your contributions will be vital in transforming ideas into secure, scalable AI systems that address complex business challenges.
Key Skills & Experience:
• Strong experience with Python and software engineering best practices
• Exposure to machine learning or generative AI (e.g., LLMs, embeddings, RAG, model deployment)
• Experience building or deploying production-grade applications
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Proficiency with DevOps tools including Git, Docker, and Linux
• Passion for AI, open-source technologies, and continuous learning
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and shape solutions
• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems
• Develop applications using advanced AI techniques, including LLMs and RAG pipelines
• Write clean, maintainable code following strong engineering standards
• Deploy and manage solutions in cloud environments
• Engage in agile processes like sprint planning and code reviews
• Support client workshops, demos, and training sessions
• Contribute to internal research and knowledge sharing initiatives
Requirements:
• Right to work in the UK
• On-site availability in Manchester (hybrid working model)
• Experience with Python, AI/ML, and cloud deployment
• Background in computer science, mathematics, or similar fields preferred but not mandatory
